Like a fracture within stone or cracks in wood, imperfections become focal points among my work. I re-purpose objects and select materials that have a connection to nature and to the imperfect. Textures in glass, patterns in metal, the grain of wood; everything has the ability to become art.

Nature plays a major role in my art. My subject varies in representation, but a consistent appearance of birds have been throughout my recent work. I am also interested in the place where nature collides with humanity.  Some of my work uses the structured, industrialized elements of society and infuses the organic components of nature. This symbolic collaboration between the two expresses my awareness of the impact that people have on Earth.
